Bader Abdulrahman Al-Muhana ((アラビア語:بدر عبد الرحمن المهنا); born November 15, 1988 in Riyadh) is a Saudi Arabian swimmer, who specialized in butterfly events. Almuhana represented Saudi Arabia at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed for the men's 100 m butterfly, an event which was later dominated by American swimmer and all-time Olympian Michael Phelps. He swam in the second heat against six other competitors, including Cayman Islands' Shaune Fraser and multiple-time Southeast Asian Games medalist Daniel Bego of Malaysia. He came only in fifth place by ninety-seven hundredths of a second (0.97) behind Kazakhstan's Rustam Khudiyev, with a time of 55.59 seconds. Almuhana, however, failed to advance into the semi-finals, as he placed sixty-first overall, tying his position with Egypt's Ahmed Nada.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.2008.nbcolympics.com/swimming/resultsandschedules/rsc=SWM021900/index.html )〕 Almuhana is also a full-fledged member of Indiana Hoosiers Swimming and Diving Team, an international business student at the Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and a graduate of King Faisal School in his hometown Riyadh. ==References==
